Privacy Policy

ATHVORA ("ATHVORA", "we", "us") provides a health, fitness and wellness application and website at https://athvora.co.za. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an ATHVORA account or using the app, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use ATHVORA.

We collect only the information needed to run your coaching experience:

• Account data — email address, display name, authentication identifiers and password credentials handled by our authentication provider.
• Profile & health inputs — age, sex, height, weight, goals, activity level, dietary preferences and any conditions or limitations you voluntarily provide.
• Activity data — workouts, sets, reps, steps, outdoor activities, distance, duration, route data (when you enable location tracking) and calories.
• Nutrition data — meals, food descriptions, macronutrients, water intake and photos you upload for meal analysis.
• Progress media — progress photos and body measurements you choose to store.
• Coaching conversations — messages you send to the AI coach and the responses generated.
• Technical data — device type, app version, IP address, crash logs and basic usage analytics.
• Billing data — subscription status and payment references. Card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored by ATHVORA.

• To create and secure your account.
• To generate personalised workouts, nutrition guidance and coaching responses.
• To display your history, streaks, progress and insights.
• To send reminders and notifications you have enabled.
• To process subscriptions and prevent fraudulent transactions.
• To diagnose faults, improve performance and develop new features.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Fitness, nutrition and body data is treated as sensitive personal information. It is stored against your account only, protected by row-level access rules so that no other user can read it, and is never sold.

Progress photos are private to your account and are served through short-lived signed links. We do not use your photos to train third-party models.

To generate coaching responses, meal estimates and photo descriptions, relevant parts of your request are sent to trusted AI model providers acting as our processors. They are contractually restricted to processing the request and returning a result. AI output is informational only — see our Medical Disclaimer.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Cloud hosting, database and storage providers that operate our infrastructure.
• AI model providers used to generate coaching output.
• Payment processors for subscription billing.
• Email delivery providers for account and transactional emails.
• Authorities where required by law, court order or to prevent fraud or harm.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal profile data, workout history, nutrition logs, progress photos and saved preferences are removed. Limited records (such as billing and fraud-prevention records) may be retained where required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent.

• Update your profile at any time in Settings.
• Delete your account in-app via Settings → Delete Account.
• Request access, export or deletion by emailing support@athvora.co.za.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted by per-user database policies, and administrative access is limited and logged. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately of suspicious activity.

ATHVORA is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@athvora.co.za and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as ATHVORA evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
